The historic adobe O'Connor House, built in 1959 by Sandra Day O'Connor and her husband, John O'Connor, hosted Arizona leaders, national and international dignitaries during their 25 years in residence. During that time, Sandra Day O'Connor served as the first woman Majority Leader for the Arizona State Senate. Using civil discourse and hospitality as a platform, she helped build consensus to help solve issues of the day. That tradition that lives on today with O'Connor House perpetually serving as the iconic inspiration to foster civil dialogue and promote cooperative problem solving.
