Octavia Carbon is an East African company applying a project developer model to Direct Air Carbon Capture (DACC) to lower costs and so scale up global DACC deployment, starting with fully commercial CO2 utilisation with Kenyan rose growers and exporters.Industrial CO2 is expensive in countries that have not yet developed off the back of fossil fuels. Octavia will source DACC machines from global suppliers in competitive auctions to supply East African offtakers with affordable CO2. This will allow us to create the world's largest DACC installation in Kenya as soon as 2023, and to scale DACC to massive proportions after that, including to carbon storage via mineralisation. Our goal is to make East Africa the epicentre of the global DACC industry by 2025.
