Octavium is Maestro Chef Umberto Bombana's boutique private dining concept in One Chinachem Central. The numerically themed restaurant has only 8 tables and is on the building's 8th floor. In addition to being the chef's laboratory to develop new culinary ideas, it will serve food close to his heart with seasonal ingredients and dishes he loves and would serve to his own family. As a cosy and warm home-like retreat for diners, the décor features birch tree bark on the walls, Cassina Cab Chairs by Italian renowned designer Mario Bellini, hand-blown water glass from Venice, German designer vases, and other elegant and stylish touches from Chef Bombana himself. The room will be frequently refreshed with new floral arrangements and a rotating selection of art, delivering a comfortable and tasteful Italian environment.The restaurant is helmed by Chef Roland Schuller and Chef Bjoern Alexander. a german-born austrian, italian-trained chef, who worked in france, switzerland, hong kong and thailand, chef roland's repertoire of ingredients and cooking techniques is broad and diverse. beyond the talent and expertise, it is the limitless inventivity and the pertinent simplicity in which he prepares the finest ingredients, that makes the food experience at octavium unexpected, flavoursome and heartful.Our menu is inspired by the finest ingredients in season, octavium's menus are updated and altered from time to time with the availability of a range of market produce.The lunch pasta set offers a starter and a pasta. a dessert can be added, too. guests can also enjoy a more leisurely lunch choosing from the a la carte menu. for dinner, guests may choose 4-5 courses with multiple choices, or even the 7-course "octavium experience" tasting menu. wine pairing service is also available.All the dishes are prepared with an original style, using appropriate and modern techniques.
