OF Osservatorio Finanziario (OF) is the Italian research institute founded in 2001 in Milan by Vito Di Dario and Francesca Tedeschi Di Dario, husband and wife, with the aim of monitoring and comparing home banking services. Vito is a professional journalist and Francesca a financial communication expert. The original model of analysis of OF today is used by all banks to compare and improve the services of home&mobile banking retail and small business. In 2010 OF created the Banking Products DataBase and the reports of the La Bussola series. Since 2013, OF has started the analysis and development of the new Data Base of Banking Numbers, a platform to manage Big Data that today studies and compares the annual and semi-annual financial statements of 25 banking groups, as well as data provided by Bankitalia, ISTAT, OMI and Agenzia dell'Entrate, with historical series from 2010 to date. The OF PowerView Analytics platform is now accessible to all by subscription. In 2021 OF launched its first OF Robin™ App with the aim of offering personalized real-time information from its data bases and Big Data also with International Review and Podcast. Every year since 2003, OF has awarded the best banking products and services as part of the OF Best Bank Award. Since 2017, the award is also presented to the best bank balance sheet and the best insurance app.
