The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Baja SAE team is a student-run organization that designs, builds, and competes annually in the SAE Baja Collegiate Design Series. Competing in three competitions each summer, the team works year-round to create a single-seat off-road vehicle built to withstand drastically varying terrains and conditions from uphill climbing to four-hour endurance races.As a team, the Off-Road Illini is committed to maintaining the high standard of engineering excellence for which the University of Illinois is known. From design to fabrication, members incorporate the skills they learn in class and the workplace to make data-driven, validated design decisions.Interested in learning more about the team?
