The Donostia/San Sebastián Office of Strategy is part of the municipal administrative structure and has been incorporated into the municipal public company Fomento de San Sebastián.-The main role of the Donostia/San Sebastián Office of Strategy is to study, promote, create, implement, monitor and manage the city's strategic plan.-Furthermore, the Office of Strategy undertakes any activities, projects and initiatives that it has been assigned as a result of the strategic plan, and places particular emphasis on improving the internal and external image of Donostia/San Sebastián, internationalisation and promoting the city abroad.-The Office of Strategy is tasked with carrying out research and consultancy projects which aim to increase knowledge about the situation faced by Donostia/San Sebastián or the cities and regions in its surrounding area.-The job of the office is to nurture projects that result from the strategic plan, as is the case with the Basque Culinary Center and the European Capital of Culture bid, which are both projects carried out in partnership with other public and/or private agents.It also reports to the Strategic Plan Working Committee. The Committee comprises 38 members and includes representatives from Donostia/San Sebastián City Council, the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa, the Basque Government, Central Government, Kutxa, Adegi, Mondragón Cooperative Corporation, Gipuzkoa Chamber of Commerce, the Matia Foundation, social, cultural and sports organisations, neighbourhood and trade union associations, the university, the science and technology industry, etc.
