Did you know that a Canadian charity is saving the lives of thousands of people with HIV/AIDS in southern Africa? It's called OHAfrica and it consists of doctors and nurses working in Lesotho, Africa, where one out of four of its citizens is infected. With a budget of just $1 million a year, it has already reached more than 20,000 patients and has provided drugs to 4,000 people. But what's unique about OHAfrica is that it doesn't just provide care and treatment – it's working with the country's health system to build its capacity to care for people and rely less on international aid. This is an approach worth supporting.
