Mud logging is a 3rd party operation that coincides with the drilling process. Oilfield's Finest Geological Services work directly for the geologist and with the drilling contractor onsite during the drilling of a well. Our duty is to catch and analyze cuttings at certain depth intervals as the cuttings are brought to surface by the drilling fluid or "mud". After analyzing the cutting sample, we describe those samples on a digital log in order to pick formation tops, identify rock types, check for fractures and to describe any hydrocarbons or fractures that may be present in the cuttings.Oilfield's Finest Geological Services' goal is to establish ourselves as reliable source of information displayed in a quality data log. We strive to continue to use the skills that have developed many solid relationships in the field and bring those relationships to our newly founded independent company.
