Wine and Spirits - , Oklahoma, United States
In the early 1900's, the search for black gold was intense both in Oklahoma and Texas. Just outside of Tulsa on April 1907, an independent wildcatter struck a gusher oil well. Tragedy struck after several months when the oil well gusher was struck by lightning thus engulfing it in flames. The oil fire was intense and burned continuously for weeks. Tulsa volunteers and surrounding areas did eventually put out the fire. As a thank you to them, he planned a celebration and all he had in hand was rye whiskey, some cinnamon and the last batch of his family's secret liqueur sauce. He blended them together and served the people. They enthusiastically enjoyed the spirit and some say that they found the love of their life that night. Hence the legend known as OILFIRE Whiskey America's First Seductive Spirit.
