THE 1ST ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY ARTIFICIAL WAVE FOR SURFINGThe startup WAVERIDING SOLUTION, based in Bordeaux in France, has developed «OKAHINA Wave» a semi-natural wave for surfing. It's a new process that does not require any concrete infrastructure and water to be filtered or treated, which is installed as a floating atoll."OKAHINA WAVE" IS DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND EVEN TO ENHANCE THE HABITAT:- By slowing eutrophication of water bodies causing a loss of biodiversity, the wave generated oxygenates the water.- By creating under the floating atoll, an artificial reef for fish and aquatic plants, constituting at the same time a spot for diving.- By concentrating the energy of the wave towards its centre to avoid the undertow and preserve the banks.- By consuming less energy.OKAHINA Wave is a place of life for Nature and Man.
