Funded primarily through the sale of hunting and fishing license, the agency does not receive and state appropriations. Supplemental funding does come from federal funds collected from the manufacturer prior to the sale of hunting and fishing equipment through the Pittman-Robertson and Wallop-Breaux acts of congress.
