Mental health disorders are more prominent in minority communities because these communities are more likely to experience risk factors that can cause mental illness. Sadly, there are not enough resources provided to minority communities to help them maintain positive mental health. Okoa is on a mission to change that. We want to rescue mental health by providing courses and programs designed to help heal minds. From mindfulness training and art therapy for children to an entire justice hub dedicated to the criminal justice system, Okoa will leave no one behind. Everyone deserves to have access to the same tools and resources to heal their minds.
