Arts & Crafts - Florence, Tuscany, Italy
Old Fashion Tailoring was born in 2002 in Florence to create clothing and accessories with high quality fabrics, typical of Tuscan and Italian tradition with a focus on natural fibers. The choice of name Old Fashion wants to suggest a link between past, present and future where innovation and tradition, art and culture, craftmanship and technology come together in a single solution. My idea of tailoring is a form of artistic craftsmanship that combines the techniques of the past, with particular attention to quality, with those of the creation of art, where traditional patterns are revisited for the needs of the present with the standard of high Italian tailoring knowledge and made in Italy. The Master Artisan Irma L. Schwegler, owner of Old Fashion Sartoria, welcomes young italian and foreign people to teach them the art of an old craft like tailoring."Fashion changes but style endures." (Coco Chanel)
