Old Oak Academy is an Education Management Institute that caters to Grade 10 - 12 students performing a Distance Education curriculum. The Academy focuses on skills training, professional development, and guiding the student in decision making for their futures. Our main focus is getting the student to work effectively in their academics and finding the best path for their futures. We want to work with future leaders and entrepreneurs, where the student learns self-branding, utilising social media effectively, and pushing the boundaries of society by thinking outside the box, as well as skills to being a functional adult within society.Our staff place a strong focus on independent working and learning, while also collaborating with peers. We offer individual and group workshops that cater to skills development, in and beyond the curriculum. The Old Oak model is still being developed, as the company is still young. We have a direction in which we are going that will help the student figure out where they want to go, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to be able to attain their realistic goals. The staff are qualified and experienced in various industries, besides that of education. We are not teachers, and this is not a school. We are professionals who have come together to help a lost youth. The staff are trainers and facilitators, with decades of experience within the education industry, with their own respective qualifications in various spheres. There is so much hurt and pain in this generation, and the old outdated way of doing things simply is not working for the majority. The Old Oak model is effective for most of the students who attend, and we are ever evolving to supply our clients with the best possible service. We are family owned and driven by family values. We are a family helping families, where education is our passion and helping youth motivates us.
