Olympia Academia is the Aligarh Muslim University Mathematical Science society, founded in 2019 through few maths and physics enthusiasts as undergrads. Our purpose is to promote a deeper understanding of the mathematical sciences so that the students can come to appreciate the subtle but lucid beauty of nature and as well as to appreciate the intricate abstract concepts of mathematics, which will allow them to fully access the entire spectrum of the mathematical toolbox, the mathematical toolbox which you can apply to other areas such as Computer Science, Stats, Data Analysis, Biology, Economics, Actuarial Sciences and almost everything else, from engineering to black holes, these are the toolbox which you will want to carry with you. Along with all this, we aim to provide the right kind of environment and to act as a platform for sharing resources.Frequently, we are planning to organize talks here in the maths and physics departments from various professors, alumni, and other students on new or interesting topics in their area of expertise. This is a great way to get motivated or inspired and also a source pool for new ideas and perspectives. Although these talks will be aimed at a specific target audience from the natural science department, they can be quite valuable for others too.A major part of our society is to provide social events and gatherings for science students. We run plenty of events for our members to get together and mingle; like the Fresher's Squash right at the start of October. Further in, we have our Problems Drive.
