The Olympia Food Co-op is a member-owned, collectively-managed, not-for-profit organization that formed in 1977. Our collective operates two stores in Olympia, WA. offering a wide selection of natural foods and products. We specialize in organic foods, and both stores feature an extensive selection of produce, bulk foods, and ethically sourced meats and dairy products. Our Westside location is adjacent our Garden Center which carries local organic vegetable starts, gardening tools and soil amendments. Our Westside is also home to our popular volunteer-run Free Store. Our Eastside location hosts a deli with house prepared hot soups, and a variety of salads and sandwiches daily. Come and dine-in with our new counter seating. Both stores also carry supplements, body care, gardening and canning supplies, kitchen items, pet food, magazines, beeswax candles, organic socks, and household products. As a not-for-profit, we give back to our community in a variety of ways, including offering classes in food preparation and preservation, health, and sustainable living. We organize with local farmers, offer opportunities for community involvement, and donate to organizations that further our mission.OUR MISSION The purpose of Olympia Food Co-op is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of people by providing wholesome foods and other goods and services, accessible to all, through a locally oriented, collectively managed, not-for-profit cooperative organization that relies on consensus decision making. We strive to make human effects on the earth and its inhabitants positive and renewing, and to encourage economic and social justice.
