With over 24 years of previous commercial swimming pool design and construction experience, J. Rudolph Ake founded Olympia Swimming Pool Company in 1982 (originally named Olympic Swimming Pool Company). The business quickly outgrew its original location in Springfield, Virginia and in 1987 moved to its current 28,000 sq. ft. facility in Forestville, Maryland.Since its inception over 34 years ago, Olympia has become one of the largest commercial swimming pool companies on the East Coast. We are highly sought after for our expertise in design and construction of not just swimming pools, but all types of unique aquatic structures; automated and interactive systems and fountains; and the complete restoration of aging and historical aquatic structures.A number of Olympia's original staff members are still with us today, training our newest personnel with the knowledge and professionalism they have acquired over the years.
