OMi systems have led the way in developing inclusive sensory environments that truly engage and inspire people of all ages and abilities.What does OMi do?OMi designs and manufactures motion activated interactive projector systems where every small movement is picked up by the system's camera and replicated in an activity or game. The core products in the current range are omiVista Install, which is a fixed projector system, and omiVista Mobii which is a mobile projector system (also known as the ‘Mobii Magic Surface'). They have been designed to work particularly well with people with special needs and restricted or reduced mobility.The system comes with 150+ activities and games which can be customised to match the requirements of the user. These can be set to different levels of ability depending on the needs and ability of the user.Who does it help?The system is especially effective for those living with dementia and people living with conditions that cause restrictive movement, such as cerebral palsy. Residents of care homes find the system to be particularly beneficial as the system stimulates them both physically and mentally. The residents are fully engaged with the activity on an independent basis, increasing their involvement in stimulating activities and improving their wellbeing – a key criteria in the CQC guidelines.
