The Omaha Beef is the longest running arena football franchise in the United States. The Beef play in the Champions Indoor Football league. The Beef's nickname is a nod to the city's reputation for great steaks. All Omaha Beef home games are played at the state-of-the-art Ralston Arena, aka "The Slaughterhouse." The Beef organization have the only all-male dance team in indoor football, the Rump Roasters, along with an all-female dance team, the Prime Dancers. The Rump Roasters, men of all different sizes, have been with the team since its inception. The Rump Roasters perform a variety of routines, ranging from "Grease" all the way to hip-hop, as well as making appearances and participate in charitable events on behalf of the team.The Prime Dancers have won several awards including Best Dance Team three times in the UIF and were named 2012 Dance Team of the Year in the IFL. The Prime Dancers are the reigning Best Dance Team in the CIF for 2016, 2017 & 2018. They are ambassadors for the Beef organization and perform in conjunction with the Rump Roasters.The mascot for the Beef is an Angus bull named Sir Loin. He won Mascot of the Year three times in UIF and again garnered the honor in the IFL in 2011 and 2012. Sir Loin is a fan favorite.The Omaha Beef has also won Best Fan Base multiple times including most recently 2016 & 2017.
