OMAI Gold Mines Corp. is an exploration company, aggressively exploring the past producing Omai gold project in Guyana. The project is located within the Paleoproterozoic Guiana Shield that hosts many significant gold producers. The OMAI mine produced over 3.7 million ounces between 1993 and 2005 and at that time was the largest primary gold producing mine in South America. Mining was from two open pits, the Fennell pit and the Wenot pit. Exploration in 2020 focused on drilling the extension of the Wenot deposit at depth below the past producing pit, with 16 holes totalling 8800 metres completed. An NI 43-101 is being prepared based on both historic data and the recent drilling.
