Omnilid Ltd aims to bring to life an innovative concept for the disposable take away drinks lid, whose main design and functionality has remained largely unchanged since the 1960's. The idea builds on the familiar lid design in order to address concerns about hygiene, slow delivery of drinks and the waste caused by associated packaging of items such as sachets for tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and stirrers. The new design includes use of the lid's inner side to hold content and incorporates a stirrer; the overall design creates a more hygienic, convenient and smarter lid that opens the potential for new content, on-lid marketing, new markets and products. Omnilid is ideal for packaging loose-leaf tea, hot chocolate, coffee and many other contents up to 6.5 grams.
