On the Shoulders of Giants is a historical web and book series highlighting heroes of the African Diaspora. Our web-series and book was created to bring awareness about heroes of the past and present who gave the world hope and freedom. Our goal is to educate our people about the historical achievements of the people of the African diaspora. We will recognize our African heroes from as far back in antiquity as we can find. We have a rich a powerful history that is often untold and overlooked. Our information is created to empower our readers and boost racial/cultural pride and self-esteem.Since the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade the African has not been able to tell his own story. We are the Africans who will stand up and tell our own story. When your story is told by the group of people who oppresses you, your story will not empower you. In fact your story will be told to further keep you oppressed. That is why we will exist and carry on the tradition of the Griot, the curator of African History. Our story has gone untold long enough to the masses of African people around the globe. We must remember who we are. We must know how powerful we are. We must teach our children about our greatness, so we can once again rise as a great nation of people.
