We are virtual bookkeeping business, providing timely and accurate financial recording keeping to Solopreneurs. Using our 15 years of exposure to the accounting processes in both the consumer goods and retail industries, we will provide high quality service that is both essential and required, by all organizations. Our mission is to allow small business owners, who do not have the time nor the desire to keep their own books, more time to focus on the day to day operations of their enterprise.The business concept of virtual bookkeeping centers around two basic principles. The first being that all financial processes are recorded and maintained using online software, QuickBooks Online, with the client being able to have instant visibility to their bo0ks. The second being that the bookkeeping firm operates on a paperless system, meaning that all backup information, such as proof of purchase documents, are kept electronically. This adopted structure allows for the client to enjoy real-time, accurate financial reporting, and keeps the company up to date with the latest time saving technological advances.In order for One for the Books to operate effectively, a specific relationship has to be established between the business and its clients, where a detailed workflow process has to be agreed upon. There are several reasons for this to be a necessity, none more important than the sharing of documents, such as receipts or invoices. In order for monthly reports to be produced on time, there has to be a seamless procedure put into place for this transferring of information. This can be accomplished through various smartphone and computer apps, now available to most individual business owners. This reduces both costs and the number of required face to face meetings, in addition to strengthening the archiving process required by the CRA. Currently One For The Books is working with a non-profit organization Start Me Up Niagara, which has assisted in building its business model, as well as securing clients in its infancy stage. Through operational and social media assistance, SMUN has been a major contributor to the success of the business.
