This page serves the African branches of One Young World's newly launched ‘Local Organising Committee' model (South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana). OYW is a UK-based, registered not-for-profit organisation that brings together the brightest young leaders from every country and sector, empowering them to make lasting connections and initiate actions to create positive change. At the annual OYW Summit, the best young leaders, counselled by the world's most influential business, political and humanitarian leaders, formulate and share innovative solutions to the world's most pressing issues. Apart from the Olympic Games, no youth-dominated event represents as many countries (196 countries represented including every African state).Known also as NYLOCs (‘National Young Leaders Organising Committees'), the LOC groups comprise individuals who contribute experience, leadership and support for One Young World on a national or regional basis. Goals include:- Mobilising business, government and civil society leadership to send sizeable and dynamic national delegations of outstanding young leaders from all industries to the Summit to represent the country and region- Engaging with government and other institutional structures and promoting One Young World as a nationally recognised vehicle to promote the impact and contributions of young leaders- Collaborating with regional ‘Coordinating Ambassadors' to showcase alumni achievements and impact- Advising OYW leadership on region or nation-specific content for the Summit
