Open Arms Infant Homes are transition homes for orphaned and abandoned babies, looking after vulnerable Malawian children from new born until they are strong enough to be reunited with their home communities. Open Arms believes that every child has the right to grow up within a loving family in a safe home, and gives children this chance. When a child goes home to their community Open Arms provides an outreach service, helping provide food security and medical care, and ensuring that the child is settling back into village life successfully. Where it is not possible to reintegrate children into their communities Open Arms provides further stages of care through its foster home programmes. Open Arms Malawi is the UK trust providing support to Open Arms Infant Homes and enabling their contunued success.
