The ODI Australian Network (ODI-AU) is one of two Pioneer Nodes in the Open Data Institute (ODI) Global Network. ODI-AU has emerged from ODI Queensland, which remains the Australian hub.ODI Nodes connect, equip and inspire people around the world to innovate with data, led by local experts. Pioneer Nodes are the ambassadors of the ODI's global network.ODI-AU's mission is to catalyse open data for the benefit of everyone.We want the ODI in Australia to be an effective, self-sustaining organisation, valued and trusted by its stakeholders across government, industry, academia and research, and the community. We strive to strengthen the global ODI network, and leverage the network to create value in Australia. Our goals are to: - inspire people to innovate with data- build the capability of Australians to innovate through data, facilitating good access to open data for everyone- extend the reach and contribution of the ODI network in Australia through demonstrated national leadership- develop strong partnerships across government, industry, not-for profits, education and research sectors to drive collaborative innovation through data.
