The Open Hearts Initiative builds and highlights community support for housing and services for homeless New Yorkers by organizing residents of privileged communities to advocate for housing justice in their own backyards. We build partnerships between communities and shelter residents and service providers to create a welcoming environment rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect that ensures the success of these placements and builds a strong and integrated community.
