Open JC is a small non-profit organization founded by Akisia Grigsby and Emmanuel A. Simon. Open JC empowers residents to improve their quality of life using technology-driven solutions. Our vision of the future consists of empowered residents in smart digital cities. We create, implement and manage sustainable civic programs that impact communities through the intertwining of technology products, community engagements and public-private partnerships. OJC, project partner of Friendship Ambassadors Foundation (FAF), received just over $250,000 from a Google Ideas grant made through the Tides Foundation February 2015 for a pilot Jersey City Public Safety Alert System.
