Giselle D'Souza and Sarah Medved are part of the vibrant and diverse community that populates the Washington Heights neighborhood of uptown Manhattan. We founded Open Tent Theater Company to serve our community, providing increased opportunities for local theatrical expression. We offer an artistic outlet for local performers with a diverse range of projects, including musicals, plays with music, Shakespeare, improv, original works, straight plays, open mic nights, special events and more. Open Tent is passionate about creating a strong sense of community, and we feel that collaboration will be the key to our success Open Tent is currently looking for performers, directors, musical directors, tech staff, and designers for upcoming projects. Open Tent does not perform or rehearse from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown. Open Tent Theater Company is a community of theater artists dedicated to creating quality theater experiences in uptown Manhattan and beyond. We strive to build an inclusive space for diverse performances of works old and new. Open Tent is committed to engaging all individuals who are enthusiastic about the performing arts, providing a home for creative expression and thought-provoking artistic experiences.
