Architecture & Planning - Bergen, Hordaland, Norway
OPEN transformation consists of two architects and a sociologist. We are concerned with inclusion, housing standards, and the role of architecture in society. The team has collaborated since Oslo Architecture Triennale 2016.We suggest three ways to reinvent Norway's approach to refugees: 1) bnbOPEN, allowing for asylum seekers to live in spare rooms and apartments rather than camps/reception centres;2) OPENhouse, shared community meeting places with skill-shares and a library of things;3) OPENhousing, advocating for new forms of housing, sharing and an active housing policy.
