OUR MISSIONOperation Food for Life takes its motivation from the example and teachings of Jesus as He served others without discrimination.It is the words of Jesus, found in Matthew 25: 35 & 36, which give us our identity, direction and mandate -"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." RSVOUR MISSION STATEMENT Inspired by the example of Jesus, Operation Food for Life seeks to provide physical, emotional and spiritual support, bringing dignity and hope to the poor, the forgotten and the disadvantaged. OUR PROGRAMSOperation Food for Life focuses primarily on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the less fortunate in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The diverse programs undertaken by our volunteers include-Feeding, clothing and providing spiritual support to a community of up to 500+ people living on and near a rubbish dump on the outskirts of Port Moresby. Feeding patients living with HIV/Aids or TB in hospital.Regular Prison visitation. This includes feeding the prisoners on special occasions along with providing Christian DVD's and spiritual support.Regular visitation and feeding programs in various institutions for the physically and mentally challenged and the hearing impaired. Building the Rob & Jan Patterson Literacy School in the village of Wildlife which provides free literacy schooling so children can go on to primary school.Building the Born Free Sanctuary which is an extension to the home of our PNG Directors so up to 25 neglected or abused children can have a proper home.Feeding and supporting a Care Center for up to 35 disadvantaged children by resourcing learning materials for elementary teaching.Feeding children living in poor conditions in settlements.
