Opportunity Peterborough was founded in 2005 as an urban regeneration company. Five years later our remit evolved to lead the city's economic development. We're a private company though primarily funded by the local authority; all of our services are confidential.As an economic development company, Opportunity Peterborough's core responsibilities include marketing Peterborough to businesses to attract inward investment, engaging with local companies to support growth and development, and leading the city's skills agenda to ensure our current and future talent pool is work-ready. We also deliver a number of projects relating to Smart City and circular economy with our Future Peterborough programme (run in partnership with Peterborough City Council) to boost the local economy and support Peterborough's aspiration to create the UK's environment capital.We know our local businesses are the lifeblood of the city's economy, that's why we offer support to help them set up and grow.
