The Opry Heritage Foundation of Oklahoma is the home of the Rodeo Opry and Granville Community Music School. The purpose of this non-profit organization is to promote arts education and build the arts industry throughout Oklahoma. The Rodeo Opry, "Oklahoma's Official Country Music Show" as declared by Governor Brad Henry, is a live country music show held every Saturday night in the historic stockyards district of Oklahoma City. The Granville Community Music School – named after founder, Granville "Grant" Leftwich, makes quality music instruction available to talented, interested, deserving children from low income families at the nominal fee of 50 cents a lesson. Granville is modeled after the successful W.O. Smith Community School in Nashville, TN. OHFO also holds many artist development workshops throughout the year and offers special Oklahoma Heritage concerts to schoolchildren from around the state.
