The Principal of ORPS is Eric Englund, who has over 30 years of experience in the planning, design and project management of railways, ports and logistics chains. He also has been involved in the operational analysis and simulation modelling of these systems.ORPS can assist with:• Higher level studies and advisory services in minerals and freight railways and ports.• Conceptual studies at the inception of Projects.• Development of Scopes of Work and Schedules, for Clients to let larger studies to consulting firms. • Operational analysis and sizing of rail fleets, ports and ship loading equipment. • Peer Reviews and Due Diligence.• Value Engineering studies to assess project options and to seek ways to reduce capex and opex.• Assist Miners in rail and port Access Negotiations.• Advisory service in negotiations between Miners, Service Providers and/or Financiers.• Assist in or manage the tendering of railway contracts and the procurement of equipment.ORPS can act as a sole practitioner, jointly with complimentary experts or collaborate with consultants.
