Hi, I'm Shari Schurr. I left my home state of Ohio for Florida's beautiful beaches and sunshine in 1981. I have one beautiful, smart, daughter; a supportive, loving family and fabulous friends. I strive to keep my life simple, yet fun by traveling, meeting new people and challenging myself to stay out of my comfort zone. I was laid off in 2011 during the worst economies I'd seen in my lifetime. It was a kick in the gut and left me searching, along with many others, for a new job. Luckily that happened quickly, but with a $30K salary cut. It took over five years to get back to my 2011 salary and left a big impact on my finances, confidence, and outlook for the future. Breaking free of the 60-70-hour weeks of corporate life led me to try the traditional route of working an almost 9-5 job, but it falls short in many ways of being a long-term solution to Optimum Living.
