Optores GmbH provides the world's fastest solutions for optical coherence tomography (OCT), a biomedical imaging technology. Together with Prof. Robert Huber, directors and employees of Optores coined the term "MHz-OCT" - a technology orders of magnitude faster than previous (kHz-) OCT solutions. Optores' mission is to bring MHz speed to a wider audience, enabling excting new imaging solutions.Optores received start-up funding from EXIST Forschungstransfer (transfer of research), an excellence-oriented measure for high-tech start-ups. EXIST is part of the German government's "Hightech Strategy for Germany" and is co-financed by funding of the European Social Fund (ESF).
