Orbis Diagnostics aims to enable free movement and return to normalcy in a pandemic through identifying individual infectious and immune status to tell who is safe to move without risk to themselves or others.Orbis Diagnostics believes that its platform technology will enable free movement in a pandemic by identifying individuals whose immune status should allow them to move safely in society without risk to themselves or others; and by informing hoped-for future widespread vaccines. The platform will provide simultaneous and quantitative testing for large groups of people in a time-sensitive manner at points-of-need in the community. This approach brings the gold standard medical laboratory ELISA tests to points-of-need via a lab-on-a-disk. The disposable microfluidic disks are supplied containing all required reagents and are operated by proprietary automated centrifugal microfluidic system. The system is robust and the size of a desktop printer. By making medical laboratory precision COVID-19 testing widely and cost-effectively available Orbis intends to enable population-level COVID-19 screening.Orbis aims to productise its system, conduct clinical studies, and begin deployment.
