Ordervous is a marketplace sharing home-cooked meals within your community.Firstly, a lot of you are probably asking what does Ordervous mean?Quite simply, it's just the English word "Order", with the French formal word "vous" for you. So that's it, Order you! You are the Chef! Or maybe you're a customer? I grew up in a multicultural neighbourhood, so many fantastic cooks, so many great meals and family recipes unavailable save the family and their friends. Now that I've grown up and moved away, I don't have that community feel so much or the wonderful culinary experiences that come with it. And I want to experience that again. And try as many dishes as I can.So I would like to open that up to everyone, maybe even get people talking? Take a break from routines and busy lives and promote sharing, borrowing things, like it used to be, even if it's only about food. To share a meal, is to share your heritage, your love and your kindness and it can open people up.The idea came when I was travelling in Montreal eating in a Japanese restaurant and contemplating an Uber. I was actually stuck there on a friend's sofa for 3 weeks having lost my credit card on the first day and waiting for a new one, also nursing a neck injury, this allowed plenty of time for the idea to germinate. When I finally did return home to Sydney, the idea seemed to take on a mind of it's own.Hopefully this marketplace will provide a platform for individuals who love cooking to cook for others, and also for people seeking food from great sources within their very neighbourhood.My ambition for Ordervous is to offer a variety of unique tasty meals, uprooting the treasure trove of quality Chefs within your very community.Join the Ordervous Community!
