The Oregon Public Safety Officers Association (OPSOA) was founded in 2014 as a member benefit non-profit and focused primarily on training. In 2017, the OPSOA redirected its focus on legislative work centered on helping bring Oregon into the modern age of campus safety. The OPSOA is dedicated to:Serving the needs of public safety officers at post secondary educational institutions (PSEI's) in the State of Oregon; Giving a collective voice to these officers through appropriate legislation and ongoing outreach to individuals, professional associations, and academic administrations;Striving to enhance the quality of life, safety and security of these officers by partnering with organizations, professional associations and the academic communities that they serve to bring relevant and necessary training, and legal clarity to the roles in which they serve.
