Nonprofit Organization Management - Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
Hunger and food insecurity above all are expressions of poverty and most of the world's poor live in the continent of Afrika. That's why ending hunger and malnutrition at the grassroots level is at the heart of Organic Life's work. Although progress has been made in reducing poverty globally, about 20 million people continue to live in extreme poverty and inequalities are still pervasive. By 2030, through our actions, we have committed to eradicate extreme hunger and malnutrition for people especially in the marginalized areas. Organic Life organization together with other like-minded organizations are helping develop and implement evidence-based pro-poor policies, strategies, and programs that promote inclusive growth and sustainable livelihoods, income diversification, decent employment, access to social protection, and empowerment of women and men in agriculture in rural areas. We walk with the people at the grassroots level on their journey of agriculture. Countless people see this trade as an illiterates past-time. We see it as the key to solving the most challenging of the world's problems. A community that can feed herself on safe, nutritious, abundant, and healthy food is not only wealthy but is sustainable and self-dependent. We help people grow their own food, sell it and make worthwhile livelihoods out of food production. Organic Life is changing the narrative about agriculture and we believe it is the key to ending systemic poverty. Our actions are our future.
