Orienteering USA is the national governing body for orienteering in the United States. Known before 2010 as the US Orienteering Federation, Orienteering USA is recognized by the International Orienteering Federation and the United States Olympic Committee.Orienteering USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, overseeing over 50 local clubs across the US. The mission of the national organization is to:1. Increase participation in the sport.2. Teach map reading and navigation skills.3. Promote enjoyment of, and respect for, the environment.4. Establish world-class competitive excellence within our national team programs.
