Origin is Northeastern University's Deep-Tech Hub. We accelerate deeply technical projects to commercialization by providing motivated visionaries with the resources to build their venture. By leveraging the countless resources at Northeastern University, we help students launch the innovation of the future while encouraging them to step outside of their labs and explore the world of entrepreneurship. With the help of Northeastern's venture mentor network, the Alpha Fund, and the NSF I-Corps curriculum, we aim to deconvolute the process of taking a disruptive idea and technology from laboratory to market. At the end of our program, Origin ventures will leave having developed prototypes, a business model, and more, to better prepare them to build strong and successful ventures.OUR MISSION: To create an interdisciplinary organization that brings together ambitious and creative minds to foster critical and innovative solutions for the improvement of human health and general welfare.OUR PURPOSE: To instill members with an entrepreneurial drive and strong business skill-set in order to accelerate their ideas beyond the lab.
