Donald Krehbiel is the Founder and Artistic Director of Orpheus Chamber Singers and the Director of Music and Organist at First Unitarian Church of Dallas.Known for his passion for finding new and unusual choral music, Mr Krehbiel has led numerous choral repertoire sessions for national and regional meetings of the Fellowship of United Methodists, the Unitarian Universalists Musicians Fellowship, and the American Guild of Organists.He holds the degrees of Master of Sacred Music from Southern Methodist University and Perkins School of Theology, and Bachelor of Arts from Bethel College, Newton, Kansas. He also spent one year at Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminaries studying worship and New Testament.He has served the Unitarian Church since 1989, where he currently directs two adult choirs and administers an active program. He is a member of ACDA, Chorus America, and the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network (UUMN), and has served in varying capacities on committees for the AGO and the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network. He founded and directed a 30-voice Methodist men's chorus in Dallas, served as adjunct choral director at Southern Methodist University, prepared the Dallas Symphony Chorus for a Carnegie Hall performance and recording, and has directed children's, youth and adult choirs in Methodist and Episcopal churches.
