Orpix has built an image recognition framework that supports various application domains. Orpix partners with companies to produce domain specific solutions, such as Vehicle Make and Model Recognition, and Logo Recognition.Orpix was founded in 2009 by a group of engineers and graduate student researchers from UC San Diego who specialize in computer vision, machine learning, and image processing. Among them, Co-founder and technical advisor, Professor Serge Belongie (UCSD) is a leader in computer vision research. After years of successfully applying cutting edge research to a variety of domains, they started Orpix and developed a generic framework that is used to solve real-world image and video recognition problems. Orpix has successfully applied its framework to problems in surveillance, media, bio-imaging, and various new product prototypes.
