OT Driver Education was co-founded by Michelle Turnbull and Lyndall Cook in 2018. with a combined 45 years of experience as Driver Assessor Occupational Therapists Lyndall and Michelle have extensive experience in this highly complex area of practice. They also have a shared passion for ensuring that OT's working in this field are supported to provide quality assessments resulting in great client outcomes. In this complex and frequently changing area of practice it can be hard sometimes to "know what you don't know", and ever harder to know where to go to get the knowledge and support that you need. At OT Driver Education we know that due to the highly specific nature of this area of practice there can be limited access to clinical supervision and ongoing training.The purpose of establishing OT Driver Ed was to offer high quality education, supervision and mentoring services, as well as a forum for the discussion of issues relating to this area of practice. Workshops on a variety of relevant topics are held regularly with group numbers limited to ensure a quality, interactive learning experience. Supervision and mentoring are offered as a flexible arrangement to best suit your needs and can be provided in person or via phone/Skype as required. We manage a number of closed Facebook groups to support Driver Assessor OT's and publish a weekly blog on relevant topics on our website.
