The Outdoor Trade Organization is an advocate for outdoor trade businesses and support them with discounted business services and cost reduction programs. We are a for-profit corporation so that we are not under the same governmental oversight as Non-Profits are so we can decide how we advocate for the Outdoor Trade businesses. Protecting your Outdoor Trade business is our business! We are not a land or animal conservation organization nor do we have large donors to satisfy we work directly for the Outdoor Trade member businesses. We are strictly focused on the defense, protection and economic health of the Outdoor Trade Industry and the businesses that create it. We use the combined strength of our Outdoor Trade Organization memberships to negotiate discounted rates for business services and programs to help reduce their operating costs. The Outdoor Trade Organization is the industry expert on the one and only government economic accounting system called NAICS. We have written the new Outdoor Trade Industry NAICS code changes to be implemented in the 2017 NAICS change period. This change will allow us to document every dollar generated by the Outdoor Trade Industry in the US, Canada and Mexico. Having well defined codes will give us the actual documented revenues, taxes, number of businesses in operation and the total number of employees supported by the industry. This will allow for an actual economic impact to be visible in any proposed regulation change and will give the Outdoor Trade Industry a stronger defense against the constant attacks from the anti-gun and activist groups that desire to stop all hunting, fishing and shooting activities.
