Outer Eastern Training Institute (OETI) is a registered training organisation (RTO #40948) based in Gembrook, Victoria. OETI provides aspiring outdoor leaders the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation and Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation. Training is provided in both a theory and practical hands-on environment with a focus on providing the highest quality of instruction from our qualified instructors. Courses are run in partnership with workplaces who employ, or are considering employing, a trainee in their outdoor education department or camp location. We work closely in consultation with schools, school camps, camp-site providers and other outdoor education providers. Theory classes are delivered on-site with practical training conducted on-site and in state forest, national and regional parks. Students undertake outdoor activities including bushwalking, flatwater kayaking, canoeing, rock-climbing, challenge ropes, rafting, skiing, mountain biking, snorkelling and wilderness advanced first aid. Upon completion students obtain a nationally recognised qualification.
