Outpost is Albuquerque's non-profit, member supported, community based performing arts center located in the heart of the University district. A unique and intimate, non-alcohol venue, Outpost presents a wide variety of music and more - over 100 shows a year, and classes and educational programs for youth and adults. Genres include jazz (dixie to bop to modern to avant-garde); folk, blues & roots music; experimental music; classical music; international music; kids programs; poetry & spoken word; theater and performance art; puppets; visual art exhibits; and many other unique events, including the annual New Mexico Jazz Festival. We're proud to present and support the work of local as well as touring artists - recognized as well as emerging artists.
