Outside Colby was founded to increase political debate and discussion at Colby. As a magazine, we believe the best way to do that is through opinion pieces that represent different political viewpoints. We want Outside Colby to be a place where students can discuss issues from all ends of the political spectrum because we believe understanding different perspectives helps to better inform one's own.We hope each issue will inspire students to respond to the articles they've read in the form of new articles in subsequent editions. With our country and world facing increasingly complex challenges, it has become essential that the public remain as active and informed as possible, so that we can make the changes necessary to make the world a better place.
