The lodge sits on the bank of the Owen River, providing our guests with views which are simply breath-taking, with sensational views of the Owen River, Kahurangi national park and Mount Owen. To ensure your absolute privacy, guests are accommodated in one of six guest cottage suites which are located in the gardens, a short stroll from the main lodge. Each guest suite/cottage is luxuriously appointed with reverse cycle air conditioning; king sized beds, original fine art works and feature 100 year old recycled oregon beams and woodwork.The lodge is situated on 16 acres of gardens and farmland, with almost 1 kilometer of absolute river frontage to the Owen River.One of the highlights of your stay at Owen River Lodge will be the meals. New Zealand's unique cuisine has grown from a fusion of highly distinct cultures - Maori, Polynesian, Asian and every kind of European. We call the cuisine that emerges from this fusion - Pacifica cuisine. For the fly fishing enthusiast - the Lodge is centrally located, with easy access to the Nelson/ Marlborough and West Coast fisheries. Thus you can enjoy fly fishing on numerous blue-ribbon streams and rivers, with over 30 waters accessible by road (most within 1 hour's drive), and countless others by helicopter.
